Royal LePage knows how to help women build safer futures. Since 1998, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation has been supporting women’s transition houses across the country. The four Royal LePage Coast Capital Realty offices in the Greater Victoria area have been leaders in supporting women through the Foundation. Brokers, agents, staff and friends have raised tens of thousands of dollars for local transition houses through fundraising events and many agents donate a portion of their commissions.
Every year the amount raised increases as all of the local offices become more creative, ambitious and generous in their fundraising efforts. This year, a grand total of $42,157.93 was raised and shared between The Cridge Transition House for Women, Victoria Women’s Transition House, Sooke Transition House, and Margaret Laurence House. A cheque presentation took place on Tuesday March 3 at The Cridge Centre for the Family. The funds raised help women relocate, keep program vehicles on the road, replace worn beds, fund counselling programs and so many other needs. Hundreds of local women and children are safer because of the help these funds have provided. The four programs receiving the funds are essential women’s services in Victoria and all of them are grateful for the support given by the Royal LePage team. All Articles More Like This
